Default Redic low insurance on my 07

So my mom calls me all excited a few days ago and is like omg omg I saved money on our car insurance. After a few minutes of geico jokes she actually did get me an insance policy.

I am 21 years old, from PA and under my parents plan. We have an 01 Audi A4, 04 F150, 97 Cobra, and my 07 STi. We have Travelers insurance for our home and car. $1000 deductible on the cars.

There was some kind of new quantum plan released and since we never had a claim yet and have both home and car insurance. I pay a grand total of $447 a YEAR for my STi as a 21 year old. Thats 39.75 a month.

The car was listed with a VIN in the first place so I'm sure it has to be listed as an STi, and the policy has it as one.

Anyone else have a policy like this? Seemed too good to be true

You get -major- discounts for multiple cars. I bet that 97 Cobra is a much riskier car to insure than your 07 STi...that number sounds ridiculously low....if you dont mind, could you call your insurance company anonymously and get a quote for what it would be for just you....i'm certain this has something to do with you branching off your parents plan.

The cobra is listed as a leisure car. It was 180ish for 6 months. My car was 230's. The audi was the second highest, truck, then cobra

The insurance agent did say that I have the driver training discount active. Also that credit plays a tremendous role in insurance.

My 03 Spyder I had before this was 200 more a year with my old quote and an evo was 400 more. So basically

STi -200 > Spyder > +400 Evo

If that made any sense lol

Make sure that your full coverage isn't covering like $16k.
Maybe their computer took your STi as regular impreza? Make sure that the limits are set so that if you total it you will get actual amount, instead of some WAAY smaller.

My first conversation a year ago went like this:

Me: Hi, I'm checking up on the annual cost to insure a 2007 Impreza WRX STI

Ins: Is that the 4 door 1 with a turbocharger?

Me: Its the 4 door one that says STI on it.

Ins: Is it the Ltd one?

Me: No, it is the regular one that says STI without the Ltd.

Mine started at 37/mo 6 months ago......recently it more than doubled $86/mo...my agent has no explanation...she feels ~embarrassed~...moving to a different tree (ins-co) once again.....I feel some~ins-co"s bate-and switch.....My record is perfect...and yes i too let them know it was an STI 6/mo`s ago....correct vin...etc....oh....my policy was set up to pay for every 6/months. Good luck with the little Lizard....

Lol I don't actually have geico, it was just part of the stupid omg guess what I saved money on our car insurance line.

It is covering the entire cars. Not just 16k or whatever. 1000 deductible, great credit, and my driver course I suppose. Not complaining just wanted to share what I thought was a pretty unbelievable quote.

If anyone wants to borrow my mom to haggle with insurance agents we can talk a deal lol
