Default nevermind

Hey guys, I was wondering what everyone here pays for their insurance and which company you go through? Obviously everyone will be different depending on age, driving record, location, etc. In my case, I'm almost 22, have a clean driving history (never ever wrecked), and will be in Arizona. Any info would be good so I can get an idea of what i'm looking at.

Just to give you an idea, for me it would have been probably $2000 every 6 months if I would put it under my name. I'm 21 with 1 speeding ticket and 0 accidents in the past. HOWEVER; my dad put the car under his name, him being the primary driver and me being secondary.

So now it's about $1100 every 6 months. That is for full coverage, and a REALLY REALLY high liability for bodily injury. If bodily injury coverage was lower, it would've been cut in half.

This one place (won't mention names), was crazy enough to quote me over $5000 for every 6 months.

I will end up paying about $140 cdn / month for the STi through State Farm Insurance with perfect record (no accidents or tickets). I'm 28, and the STi costs $9 more / month than my RSX.

BTW try doing a search as I think there already is a thread about insurance here.

I'm 22, no tickets, one comprehensive claim under $3k. I pay $2600 a year in northern Virginia. AZ is less populated so you'll probably get a lesser quote than that. Travelers and Geico both offered the lowest quotes. I'd give them both a shot.

Man, all you guys 25 and above have it real nice, and the ones who are also married. Well I called my insurance company today which is USAA (since I'm in the military), and they quoted me $1800.00 every 6 months with a $1000.00 deductible! Thats outrageous! I guess it doesnt pay t be young, although I'm an excellent driver with a clean record. does that quote sound too high or just right? I need to get married soon....

Insurance varies a lot by location -- when we moved to New Mexico, from just one state to the north, we were shocked by the rates here.

One possibly useful benchmark: I traded an Audi allroad ($48K) for my STi ($33K), and my Allstate rates went up by a third, even though I increased the deductible from $100 to $500.

These are expensive cars to insure. HPH

Under 30 & paying less than $100/month through Progressive. It's funny, insurance on my '97 Mustang GT is actually more expensive than the STi. =)

Default SUBIESPORT Subscriptions now available!

Now keep in mind, the state in which you live has a huge impact on insurance rates.

I'm in AZ as well and pay 1200 every 6 months through Progressive. I'm 21, no tickets/accidents, good credit.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find good rates here as Progressive lists Phoenix as the number 1 car theft area in the US, with Tucson as number 5 I think.
