Any issues crossing this over with factory speakers? Would bass blockers or some other in line high-pass filters work well to keep the factory speakers from distorting at higher volumes? Or does this sub still max out at about the same level, just with deeper frequencies?

To the OP, thanks for the post and the pictures! I didn't even know this product existed and it seems like a perfect solution for me since I don't want a heavy sub and amp in the trunk and I do want a little bit of bass.

no i didn't have any issues crossing over with factor speakers. i don't think bass blockers are necessary. the sub has its own power level control so u can dictate that it max out early or late. but its a nice noticable difference with sub as opposed to without.

Awesome, thanks for the post man. Do you need an amp for this as well?

P.S. I suck with sound stuff, I just like the noise it makes.

two more questions:

what gauge wire did you use to power/ground it?

what firewall entrance did you use to get the cable from the battery into the cabin?

1) i used the one that came with the sub. it was yellow. i'd guess it was a 10/12 gauge.

2) i used the one near the brake pedal since the routing was near the cabin floor. also, the one under the i/c was occupied by my defi wiring.

hope all goes well with the install!

Got it for father's day and installed it yesterday. Pretty much what I expected. Not going to win any big bass contests, but adds a nice bottom end inside the car. I am still trying to figure out what to do with the remote. Once I get it adjusted, I probably won't be touching it very much, so I thought I might just leave it under the seat. I saw where one person said they mounted it near the parking brake handle. I would love to attach it to the underside of the center console lid, but I don't feel like drilling holes in it to run the wire.

Subscribed, I am also very intrested in this, I might pick one up. How simple is the install, not the getting power part, but giving it feed from the Head unit? Do you just plug right into the back of the H.U.?

It does not plug into the head unit. You will have to find a diagram of the factory plug to tap into the speaker wires and the 12v accessory wire. I used wire taps. I ran the fused wire to the battery like the op did, and grounded on a metal surface behind the dash. For me, the hardest part was deciding on the best route for the yellow (power) wire through the dash and engine compartment.
