Default New Radio Setup!!! What do you think?

Hey guys,
I finished the first part of my new radio setup. I installed the following:
1) Kenwood Excelon KDC-X789 Sirius compatible head unit.
2) Sirius tuner adaptor
3) iPod adaptor
4) Forester single din pocket
The next step is to add new speakers and an amp.
There are already plenty of "how-to's" for the head unit install on this board. I mounted the Sirius tuner up in the top of the glove box (Pic #1). You can barely tell it is there and it fits perfect. For those of you that have removed the stereo, I placed the iPod adaptor box on the little tray behind the Heat/AC knobs. It also fit perfectly. I didn't have to run any cables under the seats and everything is hidden, but easily accessible if I have a problem. I decided to use the Forester single din pocket to match the dash. During the process I came up with the idea to add the ipod cable into the pocket (Pic #3). I used a dremel to open a small hole on the back of the pocket and ran the cable through. Now I can stow my ipod or my remote (or both) in the pocket.

See the pics below and let me know what you guys think. So far, everybody loves the trick iPod pocket. Let me know what you think in the poll at the top. Thanks

What modification is required for the Forester single din pocket in order to fit?

KEVS1000,

Wow! That was so nice of you to send me the instructions. Thank you very much! I would recommend to create a new thread at IWSTI and include the instructions along with the pictures. Then, email/PM SVT Amateur who is a moderator and let him know that this is sticky material. Good stuff! I will order the pocket and hopefully it will not be too difficult.

Thank you again!

I've got the same setup with the same head unit. I put my I pod adapter and sirius tuner under the pass seat though. I do like how you got the ipod in the din pocket (even though I like to put my remote and sunglasses in that space).
