| Amateur STI Driver | Has anyone disabled X band on radar detector. I have a new V1 and seem to get way to many X band warnings, even on "L" logic mode. It seems that the local and city police use K and the State troopers use Ka or Laser. Is anyone aware of any police still using X band? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Go to the website and search around. I get X falses, but what makes the V1 perfect are the counter and arrows, I know where to expect them and can tell if there is more than normal and when I pass the source. |

| Senior STI Driver | I just about got nailed in a small town just outside of KC on I70 because I was used to ignoring X band. I was lucky that there was a joint effort between local cops and the Highway Patrol, and I hit the brakes when the Ka hit. I keep my V1 in small L (normal logic) mode because I like to know about everything around me. I become suspicious is there is a single X source in the middle of nowhere. |

| Lurker | This is from the Valentine 1 website... http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp Lots of good information. BTW: The V1 is the best, I've had one since 1994, and wouldn't leave home without it! |

| But can the cop's VG2 detect the V1? |
