my car battery recently died, so i switched with brand new battery.

everything else works fine, but whenever i unlock or lock the car with my factory subaru upgraded alarm, the light does not flash. alarm light is the same light as my blinker. and blinker works fine.

any idea?

I forget if you hold down the lock button or the unlock button to turn them on....it is one of the two. I have not used the stocker alarm for a while now but it is some where along these lines, check out the manual if all else fails.

weird today i took off my battery to change me hid and battery was out the car for about 40 mins and put it back in and it worked. Id check the owners manuel

didn't work, that's for sound only.

i can't seem to find it on owners manual

I think you have to open the passenger door and hold the unlock. Im pretty sure that is what i did and it worked for me.

get inside all doors closed
put key in ignition to on position
quickly hold unlock button on drivers door an open the door within one second of holding the button down
then continue holding it down for 10secs till you hear a chirp
and thats it.
