Do you just need an OBD cable or is there also a power cable?

I keep thinking of ways you mount this in the clock pod somehow...maybe a flip down thing.
It's really easy if you've ever done any stereo installation or removed interior panels of your WRX/STi to get the clean install that I opted for. There is only a single cable, the OBDII cable. OBDII provides power as well as the signal for all of the values that the DashDAQ gauges display. The way I routed it was that I removed the A pillar cover and passed the OBDII cable down through the dash to underneath the steering column. From there, instead of plugging the cable into the built in recepticle, I removed the OBDII port and tucked it back further below the dash using cable ties. This way I don't have to worry about my legs kicking or getting in the way of the connector.

Since those photos were taken, I actually relocated my DashDAQ using a ProClipUSA.com center vent mount and routing the OBDII cable through the center console A/C vent and below to the port. It's much cleaner and easier to use. New photos will be posted soon!

The best view of the cable is in this photo:

You can see that it basically goes behind the A pillar cover and is routed through a hole that already exists in the top of the dashboard (concealed by the A pillar cover). That hole channels directly down to the bottom of the steering column area when you connect it to your OBDII connector. At that point you can choose to do what I did and basically unclip the car's OBDII connector from it's stock location and relocate it further back & up so that the cable doesn't get in the way of your legs.

Definitely, I'll be sure to show photos of the wiring as well when I update the photos. I'd expect those to hit here over the weekend at the earliest so that I can clean up the inside a bit too
