Default V1 Clock Consealed Display Question??

Is there any easy way to get the phone cable from the mirror on the windshield to the dash clock without taking apart the dash? I can get the wire through the headliner and then down the pillar, but cant seem to make it to the clock once i get the cable to the dash. Im dealing with a 2005 STi.

Yes I did the same thing in my 05. Run it down the pillar, I ran it sort of along the edge of the panel where your OBDII port is. Then take a coat hanger and make it long and straight with a u shaped bend at the end. Tape the end of the phone cord to the bent end of the hanger and push it from under the dash up to the clock pod once the clock pod is removed.

Thanks, ill try that. I'll have to get a longer phone cord, the one which comes with it is only long enough to just make it there with no detours under the bottom of the dash.

I did this on my 04 STi and it worked out quite well. You can wire the unit into the map lights and then feed the cord at the top and down the A pillar.

I took my whole clock unit out and shaved a bit off the clock pod and the V1 concealed display fit right in there.

Let me know if you need some pictures.

I bought a 12' cord instead of the 8' cord which comes with the unit and fished it down through the clock pod and then back up. It worked out well because the phone cord i found was thin phone cord which was very easy to hide in the headliner and up the pillar. Thanks for the help.
