If that is a double Din screen which it looks like it is... It should fit no problems.

well its got an aftermarket din headunit with the cd tray underneath it... But it is a double din slot. So if i buy the double din it should mount in there fine? The reason I ask is the installer at best buy said i needed a double din dash kit. He said the radio would fit fine but it would just be sitting in there without a mount so it would wobble around.

LOL... that's bby for you ....

Factory brackets should have been used to mount the old radio/cd holder... remove them and they should bolt straight up to the pioneer radio.

don't know what that employee is thinking.... no kit necessary!!

LOL... not really, they're non-commission so they have absolutely no vested interest in selling you product.

but by the same token, they have no vested interest in knowing their product/job either....

If it's the 08 sti, you need the "av panel" from japanparts.com.

It'll run you $85, but it'll preserve the factory look.

The USDM model faceplate is 8" wide, whereas a standard double-din panel should only be 7". The JDM part from japanparts.com is the correct 7" that'll look right for that Pioneer unit.

Careful with BB.. they'll probably hack your wiring harness to death, instead of using a metra part to just plug in the deck correctly. I'd have to suggest doing the actual install yourself (which literally takes 20 minutes, once the wiring harness is set up correctly).

You can pick up an aftermarket harness from Crutchfield and solder all the wires to your Pioneer deck ahead of time..

Edited cause it was too harsh for a guy that just didn't research enough.
