I have heard really good things about these speakers and I am thinking about ordering them. Does anyone have experience with them? In particular, what does it take to make them fit? Thanks

rainbow is supposed to be good, i havn't heard them in person. If you're looking for high end stuff Morel is also quite good (that's what i have).

I know this thread is dead but my friend has them in his maxima(he's big into s.q.) and they are awesome, but you have to get the higher end sets.He has a three piece component set that has an 6" driver with a 4"mid and tweeter powered by and arc 4ch with about 40yrds of dynamat covering the whole car.

If you want to keep everything stock and just drop them in as a direct replacement of the stockers, they probably won't work. The 04/05 has very little space between the baffle board and the window (when it's down offcourse). At least, that's the case in the EDM's maybe it's different for USDM's I'm not sure.
So they will require some work to make them fit.

Yes, that will be a problem...planning to use spacers. I will be doing a complete audio install with navi, sound deadening, underseat subs, etc on sept 13-14th so I will take pics and post them.

Over here in Belgium it's not that far to Germany. There's a company there that makes custom door panels for the STi. I'll be going that route. They can house 3 16cm kicks and a 10cm mid, so that should be plenty

you could try one of there resellers, as I don't know if they sell directly

lol.. whats the euro conversion rate now... almost 1.5 to 1.... so that prices those door panels at better than $600 plus shipping is gonna kill ya....

For what that would cost I'm sure a top quality installer could do you a set of door panels or kicks.....

I didn't say they were cheap

I'm waiting for another year, then I'll be able to get them wholesale and since I'm in a euro country I won't suffer in conversion rates either.
