Default Voltage Gauge - Clock mod

After installing My new Nav system, I realized I had two clocks. The Eclipse's clock works off the Nav so you never have to set it. Plus after installing my Optima battery and new amp, I wanted a Voltage gauge. So here was my fix.

Used a stinger Digital voltage gauge. I soldered the stinger gauge right to the circuit board after removing the clock gauge. Had to do some trimming on the surrounding plastic to make it fit. Also covered the Stinger Logo with some black electrical tape, 3 layers. I have to adjust the Voltage still, its reading real high. I used a voltage meter with the car on it should read 14.2-14.4.

Fairly easy mod, and looks better than the green clock...

Very nice, I like. I have my remote V1 display there, but i suppose i could slide it over to make room for that voltage gauge.

I dont know about your eclipse unit, but my kenwood nav gets great reception with the antenna just under where the clock was. Although i dont remember how i attatched it, it is not visible.

FWIW, I have mine under a triple gauge pod and it works fine (Pioneer GPS). I'm lucky enough to have a volt meter in the Pioneer vehicle telemetry.

Ya, I think I'am going to mount the antenna under the pod, looks alot cleaner that way.
