IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey guys, Here's the deal, my current setup is a pioneer in dash touch screen dvd headunit which allows 50 watts per channel. I have 2 x 12 subs with a mono amp for power. I want to get rid of the sub box (completely). I want to install component speakers front and rear. I'd like some mid-base speakers to create the illusion of bass . My question to you guys is, what speakers will work the best (f/r) and should I get a 4-channel amp to power the new components? | Amateur STI Driver | Speakers will depend on your preference. I find that the JL Evolution line of speakers works very well as midbass speakers. But before you go ninja on the crossovers, remember that you have a DVD player... If you frequently watch movies in the car, you will kill the surround sound if you cut the highs out of the rear. (Assuming that your HU is capable of it of course...). And yeah, get a 4 channel amp for the speakers. Since you already have a mono amp and two subs in the rear, it'll get crowded if you add two more amps... This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
