Quick Favor...

I have searched all over the place to find out how to remove my buddies 06 headlights. He wants to paint them like i did on my 05. If there is a thread any of you know about that describes this for the 06 it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Search for blacked out headlights. But it's not that difficult. There's a pop fastener and a bolt on top. Then you need to pull out the fasteners across the front of the enginebay that hold the bumper and grill "wings" on. Pull out the grill "wings" (it's tough, but you can flex the bumper outwards to get a look at how they attach.) Then there are two nuts and two bolts behind. After that it's a bit of a "Jenga" game to wiggle the lights out.

Thanks draco, i figured it would be similar to my 05 headlights.

once they are out remove all the wiring and hard ware and through them in the oven to melt the glue. i didn't know about that step until after i did the black out mod and messed them up. rebake once they're ready to put together.
