You only need to remove the firewall bolt, which can be easily accessed. Also, if using a stock airbox, I'd suggest removing the inlet hose attached to it. Also, keep an eye on the lower radiator hose during jacking!

Not the turbo inlet hose but the hose in between the airbox and the turbo inlet, correct?

you could just pop the top part of your filter box off if. The bottom is anchored to the fender well, the top can float if you undo the clips. Be careful with your coolant hoses, don't jack the engine too high.

What would you say the max height would be allowed to jack up without stretching those radiator hoses out of place? I'm,sorry I'm being super anal about all this.

the radiator is connected to the engine...when you jack the motor up it's pretty much everything.

You can remove the pitch stop, and sometimes it makes it easier. but it's not a required thing to do. I find that leaving it attacked helps keep the motor/trans assembly from moving backwards when lifting.

I finally did this myself. I used a cherry picker instead of the jack on oil pan. It was really easy because i already had the exhaust manifold off which made the bolts accessible without struggle. Thanks again for the write up!

Can you PM me the price for this installed at your shop, along with a tranny mount?

I'm just a little nervous futzing around under an engine...

Anyone else have any pointers for the rear bolt on the passenger side lower mount? I don't want to have to remove the exhaust manifold, but I am thinking that's the only way to get a handle on that bolt. I even bought a pitched 14mm racheting open-end to no avail.

I just installed my Cusco mounts, and I used the same wrench with no problem. It is difficult to get your hand around the wrench. What I did was put the wrench on the bolt and slid a long socket with an extension attached to it over the open end of the wrench. This gave me plenty of leverage. I think I used like a 12mm long socket.

I did two of these in one day but my uncle down the street has a lift. It makes a nice difference and is very worth it.

Now here's my issue today...............I've got MY06 with the one piece sh**y rubber mount. It was already broken, so I don't have to worry about how hard the back bolt is to get to. But It's saturday and none of the dealers in the area have the bracket that bolts to the motor. Anyone have this bracket?!!! Help.
