Painting Intercooler AC Lines???

I have no idea wtf the previous owner was doing but there are several scratches all over the AC lines.

Just like painting our wheels, would you guys suggest scuffing the lines first, then painting or jus spray over it? I plan on using some black spray paint from Advanced Auto Parts!

Sounds like the scratches on the A/C lines came from removing the TMIC. Have you considered polishing them with a little emery cloth? If you are going to paint them, I'd scuff first then have at her with the spraybomb.

I would just try some steel wool or something like that. they are aluminum if I remember and should polish back up nicely. I wouldnt paint them. It may look good for a little while but if it does start chipping off eventually it will look like crap and will be a bigger pain to fix then.

all up to you though. I guess if you were to get a scuff pad and prep them right and clean them really good there is really no trouble with spraying them either. your choice

I'm a little confused, the black metal lines attached to the front of the intercooler can be polished up with steel wool

I was planning on scuffing them, using some Bulldog paint adhesive, and some black paint. I think this should do it, and have no problems

Those aren't AC lines... Those are Vaccuum lines...

04s are silver, 05+ has black lines so if its new youre going to want to sand it down.
