IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 | Just a note for 07 STI owners, the clutch side drain plug is completely different and will require a special tool to get it off. Now can anyone help me with finding this tool? |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 | That's a T-70 Torx Bit. I thought I needed it on my 06 but when I got under there, it's all normal. Go figure. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 | For any 06+ owners, the bit you'll need is a TORX T70 which can only be found online, none of your local stores will carry it. I was too lazy to order and wait for it so i purchased a T60 (found anywhere) and wrapped a little electrical tape around it to thicken it up. Worked perfectly. My trans is draining as im writing this. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 | Well, since subaru over torqued the hell out of the oil pan drain plug, i ended up stripping it down. Thanks to Irwins 14mm Bolt-Grip socket and 4 bloody knuckles, i finally got it out. Last edited by Foo_Blyat; 10-07-2007 at 01:19 PM.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 | very nice write-up, my oil is in need of a change. I used Redline in it and it ran ok for awhile. now sometimes(rarely, but more common recently) my 2nd gear grinds a little when shifting at higher RPMs. I'll give Motul a try and see what happens. |
