In this pic is the white thing the pcv valve? If so, how hard is it to get to and change on an 05?

no the pcv valve is the lower black plastic piece that the sensor is connected to. the piece you're referring to the the blow-by sensor.

Ok I finally got around to doing my PCV valve today, removing the clamps was easy. How in the world are you supposed to reclamp the hose clamps?
There's absolutely no room at all, they're stiff as hell. I used a needle nose to remove and I'm trying to use them again to close but they keep slipping. I went and bought some regular hose clamps that require the use of a screwdriver/ratchet/wrench and there's not enough room to do any of that or long enough to reach.

I'm at the point where I'm ready to leave that thing unclamped

Any recommendations???????????///

Zip ties? I hate that the reccomended maintance calls for replacement of these things.

You need hose clamp pliers. They're available at any autoparts store for a couple bucks.

Don't know if it is good for the engine at all but, I deleted this. Blow by sensor is sealed with stuff and the Pcv hose goes to the catch can and then free air. No problems so far and intake track is shinny clean.
