Default Maddad TBE Install

Finally, after two years of ownership I've taken the plunge and purchased the first major mod, I am mechanically inclided with no experience installing a TBE.
I want to do it right the first time.

What is the most accurate and complete thread on installing a TBE "On an STI" not WRX, not FXT, STI, STI.

Hopefully with pics too.

Thx.

Hmm, I'm surprised the DP install portion isn't in the how-to catalog. Anyways, heres a walkthrough for the downpipe install http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...xhaust+install

TBE installs are extremly easy if done right, use a good amount of penetrating oil on the 5 nuts and 2 bolts on the turbo. As for the cat-back portion... Once you get under the car you'll see how easy it is, 4 nuts and bolts with 3 exhaust hangers, probably the easiest DIY mod on the car. Good luck with the install oh yeah, its also easier with a lift if you have access to one, takes like 2 minutes to take off the CBE

btw: heres a how-to for the CBE portion http://www.velozt.com/html/exhaust_index_in.html

You may need to port your wastegate as well in order to avoid boost creep. I would suggest a boost gauge if you don't already have one FWIW

We've going to have a bit of backlog on Whisper CBs because our supplier of the tips is no longer has the style we were using. We're in the process now of sourcing tips for the exhausts. Other than the last couple of orders we got this week it's going to be a number of weeks before we see Whisper CBs back in. V2 downpipes will be shipping again in about 2.5 weeks, we have the two-piece version in stock. The new MadDad catted bellmouth will be available in about 2 weeks to ship. Catless versions are now in stock.

R.
