Rear Differential Question

Hello,

I am planning to change my rear differential fluid (yes I've seen the how-tos; I will definitely use them when the time comes) but I am confused regarding the "bolts" for emptying and filling.

The only "bolt" I can see looks like a tilted SQUARE beneath the temperature sensor. Is this the part that comes off for the fluid to drain?

I have no idea what type of tool I would use to get this off (unless I'm looking at the wrong side).

It should be obvious which is to fill, and which is to drain. Thanks Wolfplayer for the pic.

Thank you--but my question is how to get the bottom "bolt" out. It doesn't look like something I can handle with a wrench or socket--it's shaped like a square.

(Excellent pic btw--I've been struggling to look for one of those angles for a while)

What you need for a rear differential fluid change

Meaning, you use the 1/2 breaker bar (a ratchet may work too) without a socket attatched (without a socket it will be a male square).
