Default exhaust heat shield install question

i'll be installing my downpipe and exhaust this weekend(arrives tomorrow)...and have the Varis exhaust heat shield coming in next week. i'm not to familiar with how to install the heat shield(aside from it using rivets)...but my question is can the heat shield be installed with the exhaust and bumper in place?? or do i have to remove either of these to install the heat shield??

thanks in advance for the feedback

I got the one that e bay sells and its fine.. No holes or rivets but thats no biggy. I installed mine with the double sided tape, then on just the underneath I drilled small pilot holes,2, then used a small screw with a rubber washer, its fine. phil
