On my 04 I did a quicky 3 square tubes running for and aft under those 2 perpendicular tubes, and pulled seat springs down with safety wire. sounds crude, yes, but I sit lower in seat and have great side support. I've been meaning to pull seat out and make a cleaner looking mod. of it, but have not found time yet. This was done 3 years ago, and no problems.

Another idea, what about running the zip ties above the springs in the same orientation as the black metal bars in this photo. Run the zip ties on top of the springs and around the perpendicular bars. Have someone sit in the seat to press the springs down, then tighten the zip ties to hold the springs down permanently???

Well I took my seat out to look it over and was surprised to find out that my seat was already touching the springs with no one sitting in it.

So my idea of pulling the springs down wouldn't have made much of a difference. You can see on the left of the photo that the springs are already low enough that pulling them down would not of made a difference once someone is sitting in the seat.

This image shows that the limited seat is a bit harder to work with (after the pic I added a 3rd center strap).

This clearly shows that my seat is always touching the springs.

While I have yet to remove my seat, I am under the impression it is always touching the springs. The idea is to lower the springs so the seat can sage more (more bolstering) and bounce less.

About a month ago I removed my square bars and put a piece of plywood below the front "U" shaped tube and the rear horizontal tube sercured to the tubes with mechanics wire running through holes drilled through wood. With the springs having been pulled down to the bars for a while, they've stetched a bit, so when I get in the seat the springs/cushion just touch the plywood. No more bouncing!
