Nope. Even though you use the button to start the car, as soon as you turn the key away from its normal running position the car will shut off as usual.

And yes, you do always still need the key to start the car.

Saw this DIY yesterday and I ordered my push start five minutes ago. If something is this easy I figured why not. Thanks for the great right up EDO.

Just received this in the mail yesterday and as soon as the car gets back from getting a bad fuel injector replaced I will post up some pictures. I will try to do a minature how-to incase you guys wanted some more shots.
