Default Mods move if in wrong place

I purchased my 05 used, and these minor blemishes are starting to really get on my nerves. I was wondering if you guys could suggest possible solutions?

I have a slight gash in my dash, a friend told me to use a blow dryer to heat it up and try to remold it but that didn't work.

And my steering wheel cover is not even on all sides, how do I remove it and re-position it?

No one has any idea on how to fix my dash or remove my steering wheel cover?

well first of all, grats with your purchase.
The slash in the dashboard it's not really just a simple thing to fix, it's not that simple to just "hair dry" it and get it done kinda thing.
I'd personally look into two things, one is looking for a dash replacement obviously and second choice is an aesthetic option. It involves carbon fibering the section or sections to cover the area. Other than that I have no idea of how else to remove that slash.
On the other side the steering problem may not be that simple....
quick question did you get a clean carfax? the only reason why I'm asking is because that section is the airbag part of the steering wheel....why would it be moved from one place to another? maybe an airbag detonation? Assuming I'm 100% false and everything is clean with no airbags detonations before, I would personally get that done at the dealership. Simply just go and ask them to fix it, mainly because IMO it's quite risky to mess with the airbags etc etc
my 2 cents, good luck

Thanks awdrev!, I figured I was going to have to replace the dash. And yes I got a clear carfax report, that and every other service is pure bullsugar. If the person does not report to the insurance company about an accident, then gets it fixed by joe, smoe, and moe there's no record of it. I do think my car was in an accident before I purchased it. It will be a year in aug, and she's been running fine. God willing she will continue too.

The car I just bought (2004 WRX) also seemed to be in a small accident but there's absolutly MINIMAL damage if there was.
I didn't get an STi because it would be more money and right now in college this car is great, I love it a lot and I will def be putting some mods....when I get the STi a few things are definitely just a matter of putting everything back to stock and swaping the wrx into the STI kinda thing...

when it comes to the dash I'd get it replace or maybe have a specialist take a look at...when it comes to the steering wheel, it's better to let the dealership handle it because of the airbags....now IMHO if the airbags were deployed and therefore they got replaced I'd imagine it's not that easy to avoid an insurance claim and therefore a carfax record.... other than that everything seems good, enjoy the car

use a torx t30 adapter and loosen the airbag, shift it into the correct position, and then retighten, very easy fix.

even if that's what he has to do, why would a stock air bag be moved?
perhaps the accident theory

I wanted to do it myself like Lightwerkz mentioned, but I think I will let the dealer do it just in case there's more to be inspected. It's under warranty so...
