I did it a little dirtier (didnt drain fluids, just dripped a little then replaced), and yes it is simple. I dont see how you can mess it up. Its not like you can bolt it on backwards or something, lol.

5 easy steps:

1. Remove intercooler (Black Coupling to intake manifold, both brackets on right and left side, red coupling attached to turbo)

2. Remove both coolent lines and oil line (3 different bolts two are bigger than the one, the smaller one is oil, yes these are going to leak. Coolent quite a bit.

3. Dissconnect inlet pipe from turbo

4. Remove all 5 bolts connecting the downpipe to the turbo.

5. Remove all 3 bolts connecting the Up-pipe to the turbo.

Removal Complete!

*This is all going off that you dont have the factory head shield around the downpipe. your gonna need to remove a few bolts from that too if it hasent been yet.

**Also the oil return line on the bottom of the turbo should just slip off when you go to remove it. It is a PITA to get it back on and seated.

Why did you go with a vf22? That seems like a wrx 2.0l turbo for the most part. What other mods do you have?

reason why is that my stock turbo went to hell and it wasnt cover by the dealer so this is a temporary fix, what i really want is the fpgreen, but i dont have enough funds for the turbo and then the fuel management system and all the other stuff i would need. i didnt really plan to make any major changes this summer to my sti other then exterior. but as luck would have it im being forced to get this if i want to continue to drive to work lol

I have gone 190+ on my sportbike... feels like going 25mph just a lot more wind alot more movement of the bike/car and things just seem to get really close really fast and it takes just a bit longer to stop. you should try it sometime.
