Default Re: Recommendations for a good hydraulic jack?

Well...it works great so far. I really needed something to take to autox that would be light, slide under the lowered front quite easily, and cheap. This meets those criteria.

Check out this low profile omega jack.

http://www.tooltopia.com/index.asp?P...D&ProdID=11737

http://www.shinnfuamerica.com/(S(pqy...on.aspx?ID=763

I can't vouch for the overall quality or durability of this product because I've only used it a few times and it's the first omega product that I've used. So far so good. My car is at stock ride height and has a ravspec lip (v limited replica). This jack clears the lip (barely) and reaches all the way to the crossmember! (You will probably still need to use blocks for a lowered car). It also allows you fully pump the jack handle when lifting the car. I can't imagine that there are many floor jacks out there that have a lower profile than this.

I used to use a crappy small $20 floor jack from checker. It fit under the car, but I only had room to pump the jack lever about 1-2 inches per pump (basically a lot of work and time involved just to jack up the front of the car).

I was shocked to see the price when I searched the link for you guys. I paid $179 shipped from tooltopia for this about a year ago.
