IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | 2004 STi everything went FLAWLESS! well ... except those 2 bolts i snapped off from the tophat haha, they were easily replaced. Thanks for the great write-up. The breaker bar really works. You really have to pry hard then you'll here a BANG. That means the bolt came looooooose! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | Just installed my Cobb Sport Springs on my 2008 STI. Getting a thump from the right front end when going over the bumps. I guess the top of the strut is hiiting the body . Is there a special(correct)way to allign the top hats or top of the strut, with the bottom of the strut. Any input would be great. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | Yes.Upper strut perches did no line up with the bottom of the strut. The highest part of the top perch must be facing towards the wheel, otherwise it will be hitting the body of the car. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2009 | For what it's worth, I called SPX Kent-Moore about the Subaru strut mount socket ( Subaru Service Tools - Part Details ) and they want $357 for it. I'll find another way. |
