Default Carbon Trunk issues

I have a Seibon CF trunk for my STi and for some reason when i try to close it the bottom of the trunk hits the top of the bumper....I took it to a bodyshop and they said there was no way for it to fit, I have tried emailing and calling Seibon and they NEVER answer. Has anyone had this issue, and if someone would like to to buy it I will sell. The trunk is in great shape it just will not fit on my car.......

yea i had this same problem, the holes on the trunk dont line up so you have to drill holes into the bars that hold the trunk onto the car.

maybe you can raise the latch on the car. i had to unbolt it. pull it up all the way. and then it finally shut.

I have the SEIBON trunk and all I did was loosened the trunk latch and adjusted it, have you tried that?

yeah, seibon does suck. I bought a lip from them when I still had my honda and the fitment/quality was bad. I almost returned it but didnt want to go through the hassle. it cracked when I installed it.

iirc, you had to call them (they picked up back then) and file a claim and show proof by taking a pic.
