k&n ran me about 60 big ones. well worth the increased, and cleaner air flow. check out their website, it shows you literally how much better air flows compared to the stock. it sounds just like a small bov. i can barely hear it over the radio, but with it off you can really hear it. a vid wouldn't do it justice. you can always just unscrew one of the bolts thats by the scoop, and disconnect it from the airbox, without actually removing the whole unit. drive around to see how you like it.

ok guys not to kill your buzz of your new found swoosh but i did this mod and was not impressed but with the stock filter. At the time i was waiting for my aps intake and when i put it in the swoosh and pshhhh(i like making 2yr old sound effects

) but anyways the sounds were like 2-3x louder and now enjoyable. i like alot of noise though and i cant wait to get my bov and ewg installed but i would say for those that like the sound make the leap to an intake and you will be much happier even if you dont want to get a bov.

just my 2 pennies

yeah, the kn filter is about 60$. id recommend getting the recharge kit with it..

Yeah a full intake is louder and perhaps the way to go. But for those of us that like the stock airbox config this isn't a bad option with a dropin. My K&N was around $45.

i had to order my k&n off the innerweb. autozone and all those places didn't carry them in stock.

the k&n filter is AWESOME. +1 for it, it really does sound louder and somewhat deeper. i love it. had it in for 2 days now.

gotta order the recharge kit in a few.

ill be replacing the bumper and inner fender wall soon so im going to do this

now can i just remove it and keep it out or do i need to modify it and put it back in

either way it works, ive driven it in rain without it there and havent had any issues or anything. its your call.

So if you're going to be running a short ram intake, this boot is worthless isn't it? I've been trying to decide if I should go a head and just get a short ram intake but i don't want anything unreliable...

its your call on the intake. it can be good with a tune. but the stock airbox is good up to 100 more ho i believe.
