when i removed my emblem from my old 03 Gti i must have not done it right. I used a heat gun and the floose. used some type of go gone for cars and it left a huge haze after appying it. I could never buff it out

I found that you dont need to use a hair dryer, just some 10lb test and your thumb. Take the fishing line and pull it behind in a saw like motion(like a band saw) until you get the whole thing cut, then just take your thumb and rub. Took me about 5 mins to do subaru and impreza and then i washed it and put a coat of wax on. spotless.

polishing and waxing it again afterwards would be really important, especially with the stuff that could be left on there right around the lettering

im having a problem. after debadging my 07, a partial outline of the subaru and part of the impreza badge wont go away. i cant tell if its a light light scratch or adhesive. ive tried wd-40, bug and tar, goo gone and it still wont go away. maybe im doing it wrong, but idk. i also thought it was a scratch so i tried scratchX, that didnt work and i also tried rubbing compound but that didnt help either. so i just polished it up and put on some wax untill i can deal with it. what do u guys recommend? it either looks like fine adhesive or a fine scratch not through the paint though. ill try to put a pic up so i can get advice. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

I just pulled the stickers off and then on a hot day got something sharp and slid it between the badges and pulled. Once I got my finger under there i pulled slow so they would come of in one piece. Then just wiped what goo was on the trunk off with my thumb, easy as that.

Has anyone tried taking the badges off an older car? ie: Taking the badges off an 04 after its been in the sun for 3 years? I'd imagine that the paint underneath wouldn't be the same shade as the paint that was exposed and you'd see where the badge was.
