Default How to adjust gas pedal?

I know there is a thread on how to adjust the brake pedal, but is there any way to adjust the height of a 05 STI gas pedal?

Yup, drive-by-wire.

I know it's drive by wire, but just wondering if there is still some way to adjust the height and recalibrate the sensor/motor.

Anybody? Can the height of the gas pedal on an 05 STI be adjusted?

you can just climb down there and look for your self. I doubt you can adjust the linkages since that'll change the caliberation on the position sensor. However, you might be able to modify the mounting points on the pedal it self to raise or lower the pedal.

I adjusted mine,..not for height,...but for position sideways. I moved mine to the left to make heel-toe'ing easier.

But the pedal assembly is held on with a few 10mm nuts. I also have a Hummer H3,..and the pedals were WAY too close to the drivers seat. On that car I removed the gas pedal and inserted 2 oversized nuts on the top mounting studs (to act as spacers) and reinstalled the pedal assembly. This moved the pedal itself (which is at the bottom) back almost an inch.

You could do the same with washers on the top or bottom mounting points (depending on which way you are trying to move it) until you got it where you wanted. You can also simply remove the assembly (couple 10mm nuts and one electrical connector) and put the pedal arm in a vice and bend the arm a bit to change the height. (That's how I moved mine to the left).

Ah, the vice trick. Certainly a lot cheaper than that $300 PDE pedal set you can get. I stuck my head under the dash and saw that the gas on my 06 has another screw hole to the left of the top mounting bolt, but not on the bottom. So close, so far... I want to move my pedals closer for heel-toe as well.

Hmmm... I would love to move mine to the left a bit for easier heel-and-toeing. So do I just take whole thing off and bend it a little? or can this be done with a couple washers?
