Default 07 Front Bumper removal

I needed to remove my front bumper to properly install my perrin license plate delete so here are some pics i took hopefully this may help someone.

Start buy removing the small clips holding in the 3 grill sections. I used a small flathead screwdriver to remove all the clips. Try and Keep all of your clips seperated they are different sizes but in this case the grill ones are all the same. Now would also be the time to remove your sti badge from the driver side grill if you want to.
When you remove the grills pull firmly and they will pop out. Dont be afraid the painted section may seperate from the grill itself but they pop back together.

Next take out the two clips that were behind the drivers and passenger side grill. One on each side. Picture shown is drivers side.

Next remove the 6 top clips that are holding the bumper to the Radiator support. Picture shown is driver side

Next you can remove the small phillips screw on the inside of both front wheel wells. I tried unscrewing them but they did not come out so I just gently pried them out with a flathead screw driver. I reinstalled them by pulling the phillps head screw out inserting the clip then pushed the screw back in.

Now time to move to the bottom side of the bumper. I jacked the car up as high as I could in order to take pictures and make it easier on myself. Dont forget to use jack stands if you do this. I was in a hurry and did not. Big NO NO.

Remove the three outer clips on the bottom corner of the car. In the picture I only have two shown because I could not get a wide enough angle but you will find the third easily. There are two different clips on the bottom side of the bumper these are the smaller of the two. Photo is driver side of car.

In this next photo from the driver side you can see the third clip I was talking about previously. Also what I am showing here is that if you pull the black plastic back now that it is uncliped you will find another bumper clip. This is one of the larger ones. Passenger side will have the same thing and there is one in the dead center of the bumper which you will find easily so no pic for that one. These three clips are the larger ones so keep them seperate from the other six you just removed from underneath.

Last and final step before removing the bumper. Pull the passenger and driver sides of the bumper out. Mine were not hard at all to pull out. When you go to reinstall it you will notice there is a groove the bumper just slips into. This was also easy to do on mine. Picture shown is passenger side.

That should be it your bumper should come off easily. When reinstalling just take your time and it will go on. Took me a few tries to line it all up before the bumper went into place but all in all it was easy.

No problem glad it was helpful to someone besides myself. I know bumpers do not intimidate people but just so many damn clips.

You are my hero. I've been needing to know how to do this but I've been afraid to since I didn't want to break a $27 dollar clip or something. Thanks!

I remember when I did MY06 to install a FMIC it always seemed like there would be no more clips, then I would run into like 8 more, haha.
