Hammer plus a 12 or 14mm socket. Or a clamp plus socket. You will need a micrometer to measure how much you crush.

how much boost is he going to be running through the stock BPV.

I have heard good an bad things about crushed bpv's.

This brings back mermory's of the DSM guys, this seems to be a common mod among 1st gen DSM's.

I would think the stock BPV is good to hold 22-24psi. I think around 26 is there he may want to head another direction. Mind hold 21psi with no problem.

I'm curious to see what others are running with stock bpv.

when you crush the top it compress's the spring more

With the spring requiring more pressure to move it; it takes more in order for the diaphram in there to open up.

don't know for sure. I am on 19psi with my bpv stock and have no problems.

I can't say for sure this isn't really my area of expertise.

I used a 3/8" ratchet extension with the female side down and a rubber mallet. Just a couple of light blows in the center of the cap should do it.
