How to change HID Bulbs?

I have an '07 I just picked up. I 'm gonna change the stock 4300K's out with 6000K's just to add a lil more color. I figured out how to do the DRL mod (did my search homework

). But I want to make sure I did the right thing when I changed out the bulbs. I noticed that after I twisted off the cap I saw just that silver piece that the bulb attaches to. Do I just go and try and pull it out. Do I need to unlatach anything or does it just come right out? Thanks!

you undo the ignitor like its a cap, counter clockwise. Then a bulb will be held on by a bulb holder, you undo that, and the bulb comes out.

Cool. Thanks for the quick reply. I had done it on my 330ci before I traded it in. Seems to be the same procedure as the STI. Freakin cold outside though. Think I might wait till next weekend. Should be atleast 60 by then
