Default Find obd II port

Is the obd port a unique color and the same fixed place or is a wire
with plastic end cap/plug that looks like every other one under the dash ?

It's a big multi-pin port in the plastic shrouding pretty much directly under the steering column. But I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

There's several of those white-gray plastic plugs with a half dozen wires going
into them under the steering column. None look loose, they are all secured or
attached.

I do not want to unplug the cruise control or other wires by mistake.

You can plug into the OBDII without unplugging anything, all while sitting the drivers seat. Its near where your right knee would be.

EDIT: Its actually closer to your left knee.

it is NOT under the dash, it is in the dash, albeit in about the lowest part possible. hard to miss if you get low and look up.

Indeed. Most people never notice the coin drawer, fewer people would
notice this socket, it is indeed part of the dash I can see if I lie on my
back on the ground (obSnowAngel today).

Thanks, I'm not running my ScanGaugeII.
