Default 30,000 mile service?

hey guys, im coming up on my 30k service soon which ill be doine, by me, in my own shop so i know everything gets done right. im going to replace the oil and filter, tranny fluid, front and rear diff fluid, rotate and check balance on my tires, and change the coolant. now, do i need to replace the plugs and fuel filter, or one or the other or what? my dealer says plugs at 60k, and my shop service program at work says 30k? and my other question is what do you do about draining the turbo coolant resevior? does it drain out with the engine coolant, or is there a seperate drain for this? havnt really looked just thought of the question and figured someone on here can help me out. if im leaving anything out of the above mentioned, please let me know. ive always taken really good care of my cars (even the crappy ones). thats just how i am. thanks in advance everyone.

Is your shop service prograhm for iridium plugs or regular plugs? IIRC iridium plugs last longer and that may be why there is a difference. I think all the coolant drains out at the same time but im not sure.

in this case, the program assumes you have origional equipment. we all have iridium right?

keep in mind that about halfway through the 04 year -- subaru put the fuel filter in the gas tank on sti's (maybe the wrx's too--that i don't know) which would be a pita and the dealer would be right that you wouldn't need to change it as often as before--if you don't see it next to the drivers side strut tower then it is in your tank

just a guess, but even if there is a seperate drain for it (i doubt), as long as you are doing a thorough flush, it'll all get changed. it is a part of the same cooling system after all.

Plugs in a boxer motor aren't the easiest and most accessable... its not a *short* job by any means.

What's so hard about it? Just remove intake on the pass. side and the battery and/or window washer resevoir on the driver side(I know you gotta remove the resevoir, but I can't remember if you gotta remove the battery). If you try to change plugs without removing the resevoir, you're just fighting yourself.

For the coolant flush, does everyone just drain it and refill/burp air? or do some of you actually flush the the old coolant out by pumping water or flushing agent through the cooling system?

On previous vehicles I have always flushed thoroughly with water then replaced with the coolant/water-wetter/bottled water mix. I will do the same for the Scooby.
