Exclamation HSPN TV: How-To /Install - Perrin Performance Wing Stabilizer

Today, HSPN TV, a division of HSPN Networks, released a how-to installation video of the Perrin Performance Wing Stabilizer. When looking through the rear view mirror, many STI owners notice a pronounced wobble in the STI's trunk spoiler at highway speeds. Perrin designed the stabilizer to eliminate this wobble and give the car a more aggressive appearance. With two or more stabilizers installed, they actually enhance the appearance of the STI. One can only wonder how much the STI's rear spoiler would look like that of a WRC car if 5 of these stabilizers were installed.

Wow!! It's about time a vendor came out with something like this ... It looks to be a much improved stabilized airflow, without the wing going all over the place at certain speeds.. well done Perrin and HSPN for bringing us this product and installation..

I am sure they dont use OEM STi spoiler so they probably dont have 5 spaced out screws there. But I'm sure if you installed 5 of those 99.9% of people will not notice that you have an extra fin there.

BTW, great install video as always. The only part I would do differently is bypass the whole painter's tape process and instead of installing the double sided tape on the trunk I would install it on the fin itself. I think it would simplify the install a tad bit with the same great result.

I wonder how much one of those stiffies would cost once they are widely available from Perrin? Also, any word on what they are made of?

It looks like Oakos has these in stock. I just ordered two silver ones.

Unfortuantely Perrin does not have this on their website just yet. There are other vendors that are carrying the product, but you may have to search a bit on the internet to find them.

Good Luck!

$143 for one stabilizer?! Holy expensive insanity batman! I was thinking maybe $75 each MAXimum. They would sell a lot more of these if they lowered the price. For $300 I can almost buy a wingless trunk.

That is what I said after I checked OAKOS. That pricing is just too ridiculous. I know body pieces are expensive but come one, it is not even painted the color of the car.

This just toped my list of "extremely expensive-theoreticaly benefitical body pieces". The front lip was on top for a while but this just blew it away.

Agreed, that price is ridiculous. I certainly can't justify dropping $300 on two small peices of plastic. I very much doubt they'll have any real measurable aerodynamic gains for use street/daily driver guys...

To be fair, they are actually metal, not plastic. I won't comment on the price though .

My bad, metal. That's almost worse tho, as metal ones are easier to make and thus should be even cheaper. If you could buy two for $99, I'd be interested.

it would be cool if they where that price but painted to match the color of the sti .. if they did i would sure be in for 2 for my blue sti

or at least like ppl are saying 2 for 99$ or so then i will still have to spend another 200 or so getting a nice paint job done on them

lets get them talked down for there price and then i think alot of ppl will buy them
