I wouldn't let your fuel level get below ~1/4 -1/8 tank if you remove that "box" if you do any racing or aggresive driving...IMHO.

^^Yeah, that box actually stores some fuel in it for when G forces from turning or hard launches send fuel sloshing to one side of tank. The pump is stationary and can't scavenge w/o that box. My old bugeye did not have the box and below a 1/4 tank of fuel and aggressive driving would cut out from lack of fuel. Especially with the walbro which sat higher up.

First click/turn of the key, you can hear it prime. But if you do a full turn; (crank the engine), you should'nt be able to hear it over the exhaust.

I have an 06 btw. 04-05's might be louder since their fps are placed (under the seat) whereas the 06-07's are further back.

Thank you.

I would assume the fps would be in the same spot in MY06-07, very interesting. Is the fps in the trunk or something?

did the install in 1 hour. I dont no much with cars but i was able to do this because of this write up. I had the kit so i used everything in the kit (just my prefrence). I dont know why they would supply it if it sucked. Anyway i kept all the old things so if anything should happen then i will just replace it not a big deal. I did it on the 06 i HIGHLY reccomend taking out the back seats. Its not hard at all but you need the room to twist the unit etc.
Thanks

dumb question but, a local tuner said installing a walbro will lower my IDC's on stage2, however ive heard the stock sti fuel pump is more then enough for stage 2.

Plus how would i lower my IDC's if im not increasing my fuel pressure, i'd still be pumping the same amount of fuel...

As long as the wires look fine use the stock ones.
