just put it on the 2nd click, this should prime the fuel. if you dont hear it priming, then it is electrical. check plugs and connections.

i just ordered my walbro with a turbo XS TMIC and a few other air intake goodies. GMS afterMAF and turbo inlet and a APS 65mm CAI. i will be using this sticky to help through my install. Thanks to the OP and everyone for contributing. i will be using the stock fuel filter, since everyone says that is the better of the two.

I installed mine last night and took me about an hour and a half. I couldn't get the damn wire off so that took me awhile..

Tip: Use a rag and slowly pull the high press. line (after unclipping), trust me; it will prevent too much pressurized fuel from spewing out. Also, for 06+ owners, I recommend removing the rear seat. I know it's accessible through the trunk but you need some pivoting to get the unit out, and it will prevent you from bending the floater arm. Oh and lastly, I disconnected the negative terminal before I installed it, not required but i'm a bit OCD.

Enjoi, and time for a Protune

i did mine tonight. i bent the metal bracket at the bottom and that made fitting the rubber grommet much easier. i used the new sock. the old sock was so dirty. i've got two of these pumps in the my supra and i've never had the sock fail. I usually keep atleast a 3rd tank of gas in my car most of the time. thanks for the write up.

i also kept the stock wire because i notice the gauge on the stock wire is a tad thicker than the one on the walbro wire kit. mine for some reason didn't come with the washer so i had to reuse the stock washer to hold the sock in.

For those of you with older cars, and especially Northern cars, be very careful with the nuts that attach the fuel tank top. Mine were very rusty. One of the posts started to twist upon reinstallation. I'll never get it back off now without snapping it. Thankfully, it is fully attached and tight (no leak) as-is with the new pump.

Just got back from putting in digital boost gauge. Sure enough AF has definitely changed. I'm running 10:1 all day long through 3rd gear. I did 6 more pulls all with the same results. Peak boost was 17 psi and 15 @ redline.

So i used the walbro sock. Makes me wonder why they change the fuel pump in the 08.... Some guys reported they reused the stock and didn't see IDC change. My testing tells me i'm never going to put that thing back on. I have two walbros in my supra which puts down well over 700RWHP without any problems. If i was to change anything about the stock setup it would be to get rid of the box looking device. I've never seen anything like that in 10 different cars i've put walbro's in. I can't see it doing much either.....

Ok I got my pump and the kit and I'm about to install it. So disconnect the connection and start the car and let it die? and try to restart the car again?

Yup. It'll sound rough but its normal. After it dies, try restarting it. Then install

Yeah thanks. Got it done. Ride feel great. Now I feel some what safe about my 07 haha.

3 of the bolts on top of the tank are really really really tight. Other than that installation was easy.

Also is the stock STi fuel pump worth any money?

I did this on an 07 STI this evening. What a painfully easy thing to do.

Why did I pay people so much money to do this **** for me?
