question: do i need to remove the oil cap so i dont blow the cam seals? I read on nasioc that if you dont remove the oil cap the pressure from the boost leak can push out the cam seals? jorge from p&l motorsports said that....here is his guide but he mentions nothing about removing the oil filler cap?! http://www.pandlmotorsports.com/misc...ehicle-1.2.pdf " Originally Posted by thejordan 20 psi is nothing dude... i don't think you have to remove the oil cap. sorry if i'm ignorant, but i dont think 20 psi would ruin cam seals. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 | I am also looking for the answer as well: question: do i need to remove the oil cap so i dont blow the cam seals? I read on nasioc that if you dont remove the oil cap the pressure from the boost leak can push out the cam seals? jorge from p&l motorsports said that....here is his guide but he mentions nothing about removing the oil filler cap?! I am under the impression that if I remove the oil filler cap, all the air will exit right? Mart Quote:

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 | errr i took my coupler off my intake and took it into home depot. i couldnt find anything to fit. all they had was 1 1/2'', 2'', 3'' and 4'' caps. i even got a worker to help me and we couldnt find anything. if someone can make sa specific ingredient list of everything needed i think that would help everyone out. also, the regulator isnt required if the air compressor has one right? i see gauges on some that have "air in tank" and another that says "regulated air". thx yall. |
