im doing my install right now and i cant seem to get it to work! this thing is making me go crazy!

i think i might have damaged my jazzy aux wire that is used to split the 2 units...

how did you damage it? any pics?

no im just putting it all back together.. ill try to take a pic of the flex cable..
i counted 14 gold lines on the stock headunit flex cable and 15 on the jazzy flex cable.. it doesnt fit into the stock location..

i think i just need a new cable

When I installed my board, I put the whole thing together and plugged it in and nothing happened. I thought I damaged something, so I just went back up to my room and took it apart, made sure all the wires were in place, and put it back together again. I didn't think it would do anything, because I didn't do much, but when I plugged it in, it worked!
But you probably already tried this, haven't you?

i cant seem to think im doing anything wrong. ive emailed jazzy inquiring about the ribbon cable.. the pro kit comes with a 3" cable.. mine is like 7.. and it doesnt fit into the stock location

Oh, I see.
Are you sure that you selected the proper vehicle when you bought that board? The default setting is for 04/05/06 Legacy/Outback. You have to change it to 05/06 Impreza/WRX/OBS/Forester/Baja.
I almost bought the one for the Legacy/Outback but I realized it before I completed my order.

i have also noticed that in the pictures above the aux board has the connections for both patch ribbons facing upwards.. mine has one facing upwards and one facing sidways

and could i connect the GLI to the aux board then connect the GLI to my ipod cable?

just installed mine, works awesome! i dont have the ground loop thing but i dont have a problem with noise...where did you ground yours to?

another minor thing...on an 05 sti the changer actually comes out the top

i sent my unit out to jazzy and there sending in a new aux board and cable.
ill install as soon as it arrives and update with the whole status
