depends if you run into stupid problems along the way .... it took "straightouttajersey" and I awhile to do it. Only because we are weak. It woulda taken much longer without the airgun.

We started at like 7:15... had to get the car up on jacks etc. etc. we were done around 12:30. We mostly just wanted to make sure everything was compressedd right on the spring and all that good stuff. And we screwed up a few times, so it took wayyyyyyyyyyyy to long.

the hardest part it seemed was getting out the stupid slider tab that holds the brakeline to the rear strut. I dont remember it ever taking that long when we put the springs on my car...

Flathead screwdriver from below, pointy end where the tab bends, tap the handle with a hammer, pops right off. Hard to describe, I'll take some pictures if I can ever find some $%&*& PDE plates to do my next install.

Hey guys, ignore me if this is a dumb question since I haven't really looked at them yet, but is there any useful direction/guide out there for removing the rear seats for a spring install? Thanks as always.

the rear seat is really easy to take off, you just look at the bottom of the cushion and you'll see two hook like things, you have to take the plastic thing off of them and then unhook the hooks. Its almost self explanatory i did it once without even knowing what i was doing. you cant mess it up

Two bolts that hold the bottom cushion are exosed plain as day on the vertical face below the front edge of the cushion. Take them out, pull the bottom cushion out, and you will see the 3 bolts that hold the backrest. Take them out, lift the backrest straight up to unhook it at the top, and shazam.

As always, "Installation is the reverse of removal".

Great write up, question on 2 torque values. The 17mm that seperates the top hat from the spring and the 14mm bolt in the front springs that allows you to modify the bump stops.

Also an observation if you look at the bumpstops they are "glossy" almost like a coating is applied. When you make a cut it's dull maybe slightly porous. Anyone know if this has a negative effect on the bumpstop life? Thanks!

it should not. the gloss effect you are seeing is a characteristic of how they are manufactured. the material is poured into a mold to cure and dry. the mold is smooth for easy removal of the bump stop, thus it will give a glossy finish to the touching surfaces.
