IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 | I just did this install myself last weekend. I used HSPN's video as a guide as it was a bit clearer than the instructions on RallyArmor's website. I gotta say, I love these mudflaps.. Idk how I went this long without them! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | I'm going to do my best to contain myself and not melt the swear filter. I just got mine today and I set out to install them. I've watched this video numerous times and knew exactly what needed to be done. Here's how it went. Got all the clips out and stuck the black fastener into the front fender well for the long screw to go into, got everything lined up and started inserting the screws. I began by tightening the long screw first and noticed the screw wasn't going anywhere. The black piece just sits there and spins and no matter what I did the screw WOULD NOT go in and expand it. I decided to skip that and get the other three screws in and lo and behold the bottom screw is too short. It would not catch no matter how hard I pushed, pulled, or realigned the sideskirt. I tried inserting one of the other long screws and it went in no problem. I spent 2 hours screaming and cursing in my driveway trying to install these things. I finally said **** it and gave up. Anyone else have any of these problems? I mean this is ridiculous. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 | i didnt have any of these problems at all. it was a very simple install for me. as far as the long screw goes, i'm not sure why its not catching but maybe if u put more pressure on it it'll catch? but i have heard of the bottom screw being too short. u can probably go to like ace hardware or something and buy a longer one. good luck! |

Also, since I had played with the front clips so much they became really loose. In order to keep them in place as I put the fender liner back, I used a little double sided tape in the groove of the clips. Good luck.

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | Thanks guys. I don't feel so bad now. What a PITFA. I figured I'd need longer screws for the bottom. You'd think RallyArmor would include LONGER ****ING SCREWS. God I'm still pissed. This is the first mod that has really given me trouble. I don't mind difficult installs but when it comes to little things like getting holes to line up or screws not threading in the way they should it aggravates the piss out of me. |

instead of inserting the plastic in front of the fender lining, insert it behind the fender lining, where the plactic peice is right up against the bare metal. make sure the plastic is inserted completely, wheather you bang on it with the bottom of the screwdriver or a hammer, jus make sure its flat or close to flat against the metal. then realign the fender lining and and continue with install...trust me, that worked perfectly.
