| Junior STI Driver Feedback Score: 0 reviews | I just took the opportunity to rotate the tires. Having the tires out of the way made the install much easier/cleaner... VV |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 | Just installed my Rally Armor mudflaps. Great How-To vid! Unfortunately, I still ran into a few problems. Maybe someone could give me a little advice... 1) I know the video warned me about this, but I ended up tearing the front driver side fender liner a little bit. I didn't pull it out enough above the top stopper and now there's a horizontal tear about 3/4". Is this going to end up being a problem? Do I need to replace the fender liner? 2) I can't get the bottom screw in completely for the front passenger side flap. It almost seems like the screw is too short and the thread won't grab. This screw seems like it grabs for a little bit, but never really tightens and will pop out if I gently swivel the mud flap. I completely removed and reseated all the clips several times with no luck. The hole in the clip is lined up correctly and the driver side one grabbed just fine. I'm currently just running without a screw there, will that hold the mud flap well enough? 3) The long screws no longer tighten for the last 1/4" of the screw, they just spin. Did I do something wrong or is this how they're supposed to be? 4) For the remaining screws, how tight is too tight? I tightened them just enough so that the mud flaps do not swivel with light/moderate force. Thanks for any input! Last edited by PeterC0523; 07-24-2006 at 04:45 PM.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 | hum..... i just installed them today and had no problems. I found that for the too tight issue, i just tightened them until they were firm and gave it an extra 1/8-1/4 turn. Also, the long bolt seemed to not be going in anymore, but i kept turning it for a long time and i pressed against it firmly and it went all the way in. hope u resolve ur issues. Regarding the bottom screw on the front mud flaps, I found 1.5" stainless steel screws and they fit perfectly in the bottom hole. Seemed like the 1" ones were just a little short and didn't "bite" enough of the clip. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 | just finished install, the bottom screw front side wouldn't catch it seemed to short but..... I removed skirt and the clip moved so i couldn't get the screw in, I found if you screw the inside (long) screw then the bottom screw then install clips for skirt it didn't slide so if you are having trouble try that. |
