Alright guys, here is the after math

Thats the drivers side hose and after 300+ miles of track (3 days baby!) and 40-80 miles of street driving (thanks to a broken radiator hose) this is how it looked. Clearly the hose is spent, but it was nice to use it as a turn in trigger as it rubbed on the track in turn 3

but this is the passenger side hose

as you can see, there is NO damage at ALL, so I will be reusing this hose

so I think I'm going to press the hose into an oval the next time. But I'm really impressed with the hose, i mean, it went thought HELL!!! that I"m sure on the track it would have been fine.

is that the best place to put the hoses so they get air? wouldnt it be better to route it somewhere in the front of the car?

Here are some pics of my Kool Brake Kit install. This really helped in keeping rotor temps down, I had no fade whatsoever and VIR is a very high speed/heavy braking track. I'd recommend them to anyone who tracks their car.

Inlets courtesy of Home Depot Racing They look ghetto but they worked very well. I just used some dryer duct reducers and cut them to fit my JDM fog surrounds.

I routed the ducts in the most simple way possible, while also trying to maintain as much ground clearance as I could. I ended up with no scraping on the ground and minimal rubbing of the tire on the ducts at full lock (only happened driving around the paddock at low speed).

Do you have any pic's of where you ran the hoses to get to the back of the fog light surrounds? Did you cut through the inner fender?

no he didnt cut the fenders at all, he simply pushed that piece that extends from the fender well onto the front mud sheild (they are failry small pieces) and routed the hose through there if i understand correctly.

EDIT:

There is a piece like this on the 04-05's that you can push up, and route them though there

Yep, no cutting at all. I just pushed the plastic sheild in front of the fender lining aside and squeezed the hose through there.

I bought the 6$ air pleeps /plaps (as subaru calls them) to complete the start of the factory air ducts . haven't bought the little clips / (plastic screw nail type things that holds the fender liners in)

it creates a high pressure zone up there. esp if you add a front lip spoiler so assuming i ever finish it off it should help for my track days.

I just added a post for installing the Kool Brake Kit and keeping the rotor heat shields in place. I had to modify the shields. Pics are posted here:
