Just changed mine around 24k, and it looked about like the OPs. Thanks for the writeup, really easy job.

Its criminal how much the local dealerships try to charge you (I believe it was $100 just for the install) to do this. Because "you have to take off part of the dash." Love those guys.

the dash is actually really easy to take off. i did it to disable the daytime running lights and it took all buy 5 min.

anyone try buying the filter online? is the filter used in the STi the same as used in impreza? i have seen impreza filters online for around $30
