For some reason I feel a little dumb asking this question. Like the answer is so obvious that I should know already... but don't.

I honestly don't care if it references boost or not. If I can just turn on the sprayer when I drive onto the track and then turn it off when I exit the track I'm perfectly happy.
Thats excatly how the JDM button works. Simple on/off switch for constant flow

Beautiful. That's all the capability I need. I take it that it'll just plug into the wires left when you take out the USDM switch?

How long do you think the stock water tank will last if you run it non stop? All I need is about 25 minutes in between each fill-up.

If you need 25 minutes of spray time, you might be a perfect candidate for a Spec C water tank, which holds 12 liters. I think that's about 3x the capacity of the stock tank.

That's a good idea, I might have to do that.

Is the Spec-C pump better able to handle this type of (ab)use?

So Subaru doesn't recommend running it full time yet they provide a tank large enough to run it non stop and even provide the capability in some of their cars to do it?

That's wierd. I think I'll do it anyway... and if the pump dies, I'll replace it.

That's actually fairly easy. Just hook up the constant-on circuit through a relay that throws open when the low level light illuminates. The constant-on shuts off, but you still have momentary control for the remaining fluid.

I'm just looking for around 14 - 15 seconds of flow

Food for thought:

I'm almost 100% positive the Impreza foglight switch is identical to the JDM autospray switch. For aesthetics and functionality, all you'd have to do is take off the front of stock USDM STI water spray switch(or just the small identifying tab that is easily removable) and swap it to the foglight switch. If you would like to have an indicator similar to the JDM switch, scrape off the black goo to make the 'IC' insignia transparent and knock out the black plastic that resides behind it inside the switch. This will enable the 'IC' letters to light up when activated.

Can anyone test this out to see if it's true?

i finally got around to doing this last night. took me some time because i didn't want to cannibalize the fog light's connector (for use with the "now truly" auto jdm ic switch), but i eventually said screw that and used it.

i have mine set about 6psi right now, and i think i will leave it there, pending the speed of my reservoir depletion. with 90° weather already in the midwest, the more spray the better.

^^^I did mine about a week ago and works like charm. I also cannabalized the fog light connector. I have mine set at about 8~9psi.

That is hyper-sexy... I don't have the effort, or need for your automagic system, though it's amazing, so I think I just might take your wiring schematics and awesome pics just to add the JDM intercooler switch next to the OEM one for push-button OR always-on spray. Thanks!

^you could just swap the us with jdp switch. you would still get the 2 second burst with a quick double click of the jdm switch.

fwiw- i have mine set at 6psi, and yesterday (a fun day) used about 36oz of water. i might move it up to 10 or so this weekend.
