No problem. def something you want to do by yourself, its fun and you learn a few things, plus you dont need to spend the extra money

I ONLY WISH I had these horns tonight. 2 Teenagers walking across the street and one thinks he's cool and just stops in the middle of the road and he's in my lane. I had to hit my brakes and finally he slowly walks to the sidewalk just 4 feet away. As I drove by, they both flipped me off and I never even honked or did anything but to slow down and I was doing the speed limit. Had my 7 year old daughter with me too so its not like I can stop and confront them but if ONLY I had some LOUD ear-piercing horns when I drove past them, it would of made my night....

Great write-up, I am currently using Hella airhorns, but I am considering the supertones.

one more question...i promise how/where is everyone attaching the relay? oh, and has anyone done this install with the switch, so you can flip between the hellas and the stockers? ok..i guess that was two questions.

Hmm, you can mount the relay anywhere, I actually just tucked mine in behind the headlamp, but you can make the hole larger on the relay and stick it on the battery holder thingy.

You can mount a switch, but I think its alot easier just to use your regular horn. They are loud, but not too loud for everyday use

thanks! did you screw the relay in somewhere behind the headlamp? yeah...i think i'll just install it without the switch. if anyone did install with the switch, i'd love to see your set-up!

last question...i promise! i'm a little confused about the 87 connector. do i just cram 2 lengths of 14 ga wire into a connector and attach that to 87 on the relay or do i just use 1 length of wire and split that into a Y and run one to each horn?

thanks!

Nah run one wire off the 87 prong and run it to one hella. Tap into the same wire and run it to the other hella.

You dont need to split it, just tap into the same wire when your by the grill area.
