i cannot get these to work. i followed the writeup so i dont get it. ive tried the pos running to each horn terminal, checked my wire coupler and it was loose so i redid it, nothing. i tried running a single wire from the pos terminal on the relay to only one horn, no matter which prong, and nothing. i hear something click, i assume its the relay but no horn. could my grounds be bad because of the paint on them mount locations? is it different on an 06? theres white paint where i mounted the horns maybe thats preventing them from grounding???

just a question..... how is this DIY different than how a professional tuner shop would install them?

I wanted to add an idea I had for the install. For those that use the included instructions and this great DIY....here is where I put the 20A fuse.

Not the best pic but, meh....whatever.
Another crappy pic of my S-Tones...

All my wires are double shrink-tubed and loomed for a factory look. It was a bit** to get into the fuse box but it came out really clean. (Note: I had to make sure that I had enough slack inside the fuse box so the cover was removable. The fuse holder is available at, pretty much, any electronics store.)

i didnt but that was mounting them more to the center on the white (or in ur case blue) radiator type cover. its close but they fit. if u mount them more to the outside, or on the radiator support, youll have to cut away the plastic that directs air fromt he outside of the grill toward the center.

To be honest, I spent so mych time OCD'ing on the UBer trick Fuse placement and protecting the wiring that I have yet to finish. I need to add the last wire fo rthe horn circuit. I'll update.
It seems that most guys on this thread have used the relay though.

I placed mine in the same spot as grambo's pics and didn't have to cut a thing.

For those of you who installed these on the '06/'07s, did you use the stock bracket the Hellas came with? Also, did you have to drill holes in the rad support? I'll be installing Hellas on my '07 STi and just wanted a better idea about mounting them. Does anyone have any pictures of the Hellas mounted an an 06/07 with the grille off? Thanks.

u can use the stock brackets but drilling a second hole will keep them straight should u have to mount them sideways. if u mount them on the radiator supports on the sides u might have to cut the plastic on the back of the grills for it to fit.

Grab a good flashlight and look behind the grills...the center comes out easiest after the removal of the plastic-inserts in the top...the sides are a kinda' bitc*. You can reach around from behind after the center grill is removed and feel the push-in tabs and the shoulders you must push through the slots. Get the inside off first (closest to center grill) then the outside. Note: The colored part of the grill comes off with the black all in one piece...BE CAREFUL to not break the tabs...be patient..go slow...etc.
Enjoy your install.
