I'm almost positive I'm going to go with dual AMW cans, the price is my only concern. I read on Nabisco some one used an Air/Oil separator for an air compressor from Home Depot and it was only $15. So you could run 2 for $30 plus the cost of the hose. Has anyone does this before? Any thoughts on running these and how they would work?

I think another option that I am liking is the Ixiz A/O separator.

I had the ixiz before these cans, didn't care for it...

* original gaskets leaked
* let too much blowby through
* pain to open up and clean out
* hideous
* unit and mounting bracket are huge and get in the way when trying to work on the car

Yeah, I'd be pissed if I paid that much and blowby still got through. You still running the pcv valve with the amw cans?

no pcv valve here, I didn't run the pcv valve with the ixiz either. Well I did initially and then removed it later

Nice, you've really got my interest now. I don't think anyone in this thread has mentioned not running the pcv valve with the amw cans; which is too bad because we know that if you keep the pcv valve you'll still get oil in the im.

What did you do about the line running from the ccv (fitting on top of the block) to the amw can? - the reason I ask is because the block fitting is 3/4" ID while the fittings on the can look like they only accept 3/8" or 1/2" ID line. Any issues here?

Are the intake return lines on the amw cans remaining dry?

I just have a bunch of hose adapters. 3/4" -> 1/2" then 1/2" -> 3/8" (cans accept 3/8")

I'm not sure yet. Let me get back to you on this after I run it for longer.

Are you catching a lot of blowby with the cans as opposed to the Izix?
