Does anyone know where i can get the 3/8" to 1/2" hose connectors and the 1/2" 90 degree hose? i've looked at almost every major auto parts store around my area and non of them have neither the connector nor the hose, matter fact most of them didn't even know what i was talking about. Any websites that i could purchase it from ? or any stores around the boston area? thanks

Bumping an old thread for several reasons:

1) I've found a replacement for the accurate machine works cans: Saikou Michi Co. Home Page . He even has an sti fitment in the works ( STI Dual OCC Page). I got one of the prototypes and it's really nice. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't open them up to look at/replace the substrate.
2) The hose clamp that holds the pcv valve hose on is a giant pain in the *** to get to. Right now it's not clamped down...which is not advisable. I'm going to go to the store and get a hose clamp tool shortly to remedy this situation.
3) The saikou michi cans are set up for 1/2" inner diameter hose. There are two hose nipples in the oem system that are larger than 1/2" (about 3/4"). There is one on the PCV system which is on the PCV valve and one on the intake return nipple for the breather part of the system.
4) If you aren't into reading directions you'd miss this one: the drain valves are open when screwed in and closed when fully "extended" in a counter clockwise motion. This is counter intuitive.

Hopefully I'll get some pictures up soon. And after the autox season starts I can tell you how much oil I get out of the cans.

Great thread! I just now ran across it...

One point I didn't see covered very well, unless I missed it: Check Valve.

Where should it (they) go, and in a 2-can system, do we need 2 check valves?

These look promising and the price seems very reasonable. Hopefully they do a good job of keeping oil out of the intake: I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions.

I'm assuming the vacuum hose kit that's included with this setup is meant retain the pcv valve like the setup wolfplayer did in this how-to (obviously it wouldn't be mandatory). Are you planning on keeping the pcv valve?

? regarding the near 3/4" id hose on the stock vent system - I realize 1 is on the valve cover breather return line going to the turbo inlet nipple. Is the second 3/4" hose just on the crankcase vent fitting on top of the block (hose that goes from block nipple to pcv valve) or does the hose stay 3/4" ID from the pcv valve to the turbo inlet nipple? - It looks like the ID necks down to around 1/2" ID on the pcv valve-to-turbo inlet hose to me, but I never had it off to measure.

I wonder what people are doing with the pcv line (line that goes from the pcv valve to the intake manifold) that are running these dual cc setups. As wolfplayer said, these cc setups will only keep oil out of the intake, turbo, ic charge pipes, ic and throttlebody; they won't keep oil out of the intake manifold. Perhaps a triple cc setup would be ideal?
